About Patricia

I've spent my career watching companies struggle with the same pattern.

Over 12 years in recruitment, I kept seeing the same thing: companies would hire talented people, get excited about their potential, then watch them struggle or leave within the first year. It happened everywhere - from small businesses to global organizations, across different industries and regions.

The frustrating part? These weren't bad hires. The people were capable, the companies were well-intentioned, but something in the process wasn't working.

I started my career at Robert Half working with businesses throughout California, then launched my own search firm focusing on executive placements across technology, biotech, finance, and legal sectors. The more companies I worked with, the clearer the pattern became: hiring was just the beginning. What happened next determined whether that investment paid off.

That realization led me to pursue my MS in Human Resource Management at USC. I wanted to understand the systems side of the equation - not just how to find good people, but how to create environments where they could actually succeed.

Currently, I'm applying this perspective as HR Manager at a large nonprofit, working with teams across multiple California locations. It's taught me the practical reality of implementing the solutions I recommend to clients.

Now I help growing California businesses solve both sides of this challenge. Sometimes the issue is finding better candidates. Sometimes it's fixing what happens after they start. Often, it's both.
